BREAKING: Ona-Ara LG. Born former NYCN President, Com. Wale Ajani Declares Senatorial Ambition
A son of the soil of Ona Ara Local Government area of Ibadan Less City Zone and the former President, National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Com. Olawale James Ajani on Tuesday declared his intention to run for the Senate to represent Oyo Central Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections.
Com. Ajani is a major advocate for the “Not too Young to rule”, his also the ADC candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly to represent Ona Ara States Constituency at the 2019 genera elections.

Ajani said that his decision was due to pressures from his people urging him to run for the Senate and that he had no choice other than to accept their request.
“For some time now, there has been so much pressure coming from different groups, communities, individuals and organisations that I should run for the Senate.

‘’His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde achievements in building a new Oyo State with the infrastructural development that attracting investors majorly part of the reasons I stand to answer the call from my people, I have no choice than to accept the demand’’, he said.

He thanked the people for having faith in him, saying that they could not have requested him to go and represent them at the senate if they did not believe in him.
He now enjoin young people of the pace setter state to join governor Seyi Makinde in rebuilding the state.
He also describe, PDP as “the only party in Nigeria, that can bring a better governance’’, and the only party that could give Southwest (Yoruba people) a voice in their country.
Ajani said that the developmental stride of Oyo State Government was in line with the transformation agenda of PDP Party.
Freshvoice Newsmedia reports that the Former Youth Leader, who hails from Ona Ara Local Government, participated as a Youth representative as the 2015 CONFAB organized by President Good luck Jonathan.
Eleven local government areas namely: Oluyole, Ona-Ara, Egbeda, Lagelu, Akinyele, Afijio, Oyo East, Oyo West, Atiba, Ogbomosho South, Surulere LGAs make up Oyo central senatorial district.
