Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has officially tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), marking a decisive political shift ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The development underscores Atiku’s unwavering alignment with the ADC Coalition, a strategic alliance formed to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next election cycle.

In his resignation letter, Atiku cited the current “trajectory” of the PDP, which he claimed had strayed from its founding ideals and core democratic values.
