2023: APC Egbeda/Ona-Ara Stakeholders Meets, Reatriate their Support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Presidential Ambition
The Progressives’ Family of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency of Oyo State at the end of their consultative meeting held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, critically reviewed the situation in the country and focused on salient issues bothering the unity, progress, and victory of the Party in the forthcoming general elections.

Rising from the meeting, the forum agreed on the following:
1. The Progressives’ Family reiterates their commitment to the Nigeria project and unanimously congratulated the APC family in Nigeria and across the globe on the successful conclusion of the Party’s national convention.
2. The forum commends the Party echelons and delegates and described the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the APC, as a good development and a positive step towards a greater Nigeria.
3. It recognised the rising popularity and improved acceptance of the Party since the moment Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu clinched the presidential ticket and agreed to leverage this towards success in the 2023 general election.
4. The APC caucus appeals to all aggrieved members to reconsider their stance and embrace peace and activities towards genuine reconciliation and reintegration in the overall interest of the Party and the nation.
5. The forum also resolves:
i. To broaden the horizons of the party in the constituency and embark on a membership drive to encourage new members and followers to join the party.
ii. To accept all decisions and choices of the national leadership on all candidates of our party and promise to ensure that the party triumphs in all the forthcoming elections.
6. In order to consolidate our shared vision for a greater Nigeria and strengthen the Party, the APC Progressives’ Family agrees to meet from time to time and work under the auspices of “MANDATE ’23” going forward.
7. The meeting was at the instance of Hon. Taiwo Michael Akintola (TMA), who represented Egbeda /Ona-Ara Federal constituency at the 8th Assembly, and well attended by selected critical stakeholders from the constituency including: Hon. Olalekan Esho, Hon. Bayo Ogunsola, Alhaja Esther Olalere ‘Decency”, Pa Joseph Omotayo, Hon Kehinde Adeshina. Mr Yemi Akinwale “Yemnak”, Mrs Dasola Olalekan, Hon. Folashade Ojasope, Alhaja Laide Adegbola, Hon. Tunde Jenrade, Hon. Kunle Adebowale. And Alhaji Rufai Olayiwola, Hon. Gbenga Fawole “Agbe”, Alajii Lukuman Akinpelu, Reverend Akinwalere, Alhaji Ajisafe, Hon Lamidi Adewale, Hon Olatunde Akintola “Akile”, Hon. Monruf Oseni, Hon. Femi Fadiji, Mrs Bukola Agboola, Mr. Akinwumi.
