Aláàfin: Yoruba Council of Youths Condoles With Matron, Omoluabis of Oyo on The Demise of Monarch
Indeed Death is truly inevitable…
On behalf of the Visionary President of Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide, YCYW i.e Aare Olori Ọdọ Oodua and the entire leadership and members of our noble council, we send our heartfelt condolences to the Oyo State government, Iyaloja General of Oyo-State, Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo NURUDEEN and all sons and Daughters (Omoluabis) of the ancient Oyo Kingdom and the entire Yoruba Land, over the demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III, Iku Baba Yeye, Alaafin of Oyo.
It is indeed very saddening to hear the news of the demise of kabiesi who has gone to join his ancestors.
The late Alaafin being the longest reigning Alaafin in history has proven to the human race the beauty of a being a father figure and the importance of acquiring knowledge. Iku Baba Yeye whom during his lifetime was an epitome of genuine royalty and preacher of peace, justice, tranquility and for always speaking courageously in his quest and advocacy for adequate security that is fast ravaging the unity our our nation, indeed his sudden demise is a great loss not only to Yoruba land but also Nigeria and the world in entirety.

We therefore pray for the entire Adéyemí Royal family, our darling Yeyeluwa Odo of Oyo-State, Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo NURUDEEN and the good people of Oyo for God’s fortitude to bare the departure of a great King.
May the gentle soul of our late encyclopedia of knowledge rest in perfect peace. Erin ṣubu ko le dìde, Oba rere lọ, Alayéluwa o d’arinako o d’oju ala… Sun ré ooo Atanda Ọmọ Ibironke!
