Akinyele/Lagelu2023: Makinde Political Support Group Visits PDP Reps Candidate, Adeaga, Pledge Support
One of Seyi Makinde’s political support group in Lagelu local government, ‘Seyi o S’emi Movement (SSM) yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the private residence of the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal House of Representatives People’s Democratic (Party PDP) candidate, Honourable Abideen Adetokunbo Adeaga.
The visit, which was led by the group leader in Lagelu local government, Honourable Sabitu Jelili, was said to be part of political measures to strengthen Adeaga’s political chances towards the success of the forthcoming 2023 general election.
The group chairman, Honourable Jelili reiterated the group’s support for the candidate in the coming general election in 2023.
He said the group has sponsored and obtained over 300 PVC registration for members of the group, PDP members and residents of the local government.
He added that the group is determined to work for the actualization of Governor Seyi Makinde’s second term while assuring that it will continue to work towards ensuring that 2023 electoral success for Makinde is greater than 2019 election outcome with wider vote margin.
Honourable Adeaga in his brief remark appreciated the group for their support and commitment towards the PDP 2023 project. He also expressed his gratitude to members of his federal constituency for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to serve.
He however, urged party faithfuls to be united and to shun all forms of bickering against one another stressing that he will not disappoint on the mandate given to him by the party.
He said, “I am for everybody and anyone is free to see me as my doors are open to all anytime and whatever strategy we need to put in place to successfully prosecute the forthcoming general election shall be duly acknowledged and worked upon.”
