The Adekile Goodwill Grammar School Old Students Association, Aperin, Ibadan (Class of 2005), is commemorating its 20th anniversary with a weeklong celebration centered on gratitude, humanitarian service, and giving back to their alma mater.
In a press statement issued by the Chairman of the 20th Anniversary Planning Committee, Mr. Habeeb Aladeifa, and made available to journalists in Ibadan, the milestone celebration kicked off with a special thanksgiving service held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Christ Life Church, Adekile, Aperin, Ibadan.
As part of its commitment to community impact, the association visited the LIWOM Shelter in Yemetu, Ibadan on Wednesday, May 21, where members donated relief materials and spent time engaging with the children at the shelter.
The celebration continues with a Jumat service on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Lanase Central Mosque, Aremo, Ibadan, where members will gather in solemn reflection and prayer.
Mr. Aladeifa highlighted the significance of the anniversary, stating, “Our 20th anniversary is a moment of reflection and thanksgiving. It reminds us of the journey we’ve shared, the lives we’ve lived, and the bonds that continue to unite us. Though we remember those we’ve lost, we celebrate progress, unity, and purpose.”
In furtherance of their commitment to legacy, the Class of 2005 has renovated the school’s notice board, a project originally built during their final year as a lasting contribution to Adekile Goodwill Grammar School.
The grand finale of the anniversary celebration is set to take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, with a lineup of engaging and meaningful activities designed to cap the celebration and reinforce the enduring bond among members of the 2005 set.
