The Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief (Dr.) Engr Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has expressed profound gratitude to The Sun Publishing Limited, publishers of The Sun and Daily Sun newspapers, for selecting him as the recipient of “The Sun Hospitality Icon of the Year Award 2024.
In a formal letter signed by the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited, Mr. Onuoha Ukeh, Chief (Dr.) Sanusi was informed of his selection for the prestigious award, which will be presented at The Sun Awards ceremony on March 1, 2025, in Lagos. The letter also stated that a formal confirmation letter will be delivered to Chief Sanusi on December 10, 2024.
The letter reads:
“The Management and Staff of The Sun Publishing Limited, publishers of Daily Sun, Saturday Sun, Sunday Sun, and Sporting Sun, bring you warm greetings. We felicitate with you on your achievements in office.
We write to notify you that the Board of Editors of The Sun Publishing Limited, after a rigorous selection process, has picked you as winner of The Sun Hospitality Icon of the Year Award 2024. The award will be formally presented to you at an elaborate ceremony on March 1, 2025, at the prestigious The Sun Awards in Lagos.”
Reacting to the notification, Chief (Dr.) Sanusi, who is also the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, expressed his delight at being recognized by one of Nigeria’s most reputable media organizations. He stated:
