The Land Dispute Committee of Ona Ara Local Government has issued a call for peace and harmony among the Gbeleyi family regarding a land dispute involving over 800 acres. The committee, led by Chairman, Oniladuntan of Laduntan, Oba Adebowale Kamarudeen JP, has taken proactive measures to address the situation and ensure a fair resolution.
Freshvoice Newsmedia reported that during a meeting held yesterday at the Local Government Annex Office in Ogbere, the committee emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability within the community, particularly in matters of land ownership and disputes. Chairman Oba Oniladuntan urged all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and cooperation in resolving the issue.
The primary focus of the meeting was the dispute within the Gbeleyi family concerning the alleged sale of 800 acres of land to Alhaji Aliu by the family head. In light of this, the committee has suspended any further action on the land until a thorough investigation and resolution process can be carried out.
Oba Oniladuntan emphasized the need for unity and understanding among family members, as well as between indigenes and those in the diaspora, to prevent further escalation of tensions. He urged all parties to come together and present any relevant evidence or information that may aid in reaching a fair and just resolution.
The committee has adjourned the meeting to allow for the presentation of additional evidence by the Gbeleyi family heads. In the meantime, they have called for calm and restraint from all parties involved to ensure a peaceful and amicable resolution to the dispute.
