The newly inaugurated executive of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Oyo State Chapter, has declared unwavering support for the professional, industrial, and political aspirations of the Chairman of Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat.
Led by its Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Olayade, the State RATTAWU leadership paid a courtesy visit to Agidigbo FM, affirming that Dr. Hamzat’s contributions to society and humanity have distinguished him as a pillar of progress. Olayade noted that the long-standing relationship between Agidigbo FM, Dr. Hamzat, and RATTAWU chapters across Oyo State continues to set a benchmark for other unions and organizations.
He explained that the visit was part of RATTAWU’s efforts to strengthen its cordial ties with media establishments across the state.
In his remarks, Dr. Hamzat urged media practitioners to rise to the challenges of governance and societal transformation, stressing the need to reshape public perception of journalists and broadcasters.
“No public office is bigger than any journalist or broadcaster,” he said, calling for collective efforts to sustain the influence and relevance of media professionals in Oyo State and beyond.
