The GSMists, a brand promoting the good governance of Governor Seyi Makinde have branded two buses for easy movement of their members across the local government as the Governor Seyi Makinde & His Deputy, Barr AbdulRahman Bayo Lawal’s Campaign go round the state.
The GSMists buses emblazoned with the Governor and his deputy’s campaign pictures will be used to crisscross the state for the remaining days leading to Election Day to mobilize support and massive votes for the Governor and all People’s Democratic Party Candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking with newsmen moments during the unveiling of the branded Sienna and Benz buses, The GSMists State Coordinator Hon Lukman Abayomi Olajide
(Royal Umbrella) said; “it was the decision of the group to brand the vehicles so as to reach the grassroots to further preach the gospel of Omituntun 2.0 and ensured the great developments are sustained by their votes.
“There is a need for our campaigns to go to the grassroots and to be able to do so, we need to make our volunteers mobile as the campaign buses are strictly for campaigns. The GSMists will be moving round to talk to market women, artisans, farmers, etc in the language of the environment and to ensure that sustainable development being witnessed in Oyo State is sustained while also canvassing for votes for all other PDP candidates who are bouyed to ensure the good people of Oyo State enjoy the best of political dividends.
On the preparedness of The GSMists as a group for the task ahead, the group secretary, Arc Salam Azeez, said; “First and foremost, we have not been taking things for granted as we have built a solid grassroot based in all the local governments in Oyo State with Diaspora Chapters in USA, UK and Germany. We have joined the campaign team of the Governor as it goes round the state and ensuring good interactions with locals and important stakeholders in the zones and local governments visited with our flyers, stickers, posters and other political communication materials to intimate the grassroots on the lofty achievements of Omituntun 1.0 & why they have to key into Omituntun 2.0. We’ll also be airing jingles produced specially by our Diaspora team from the first day of February.”
The Senatorial coordinator for Oyo Central district, Hon Sunday Ogunleke, who spoke on behalf of other Senatorial Coordinators thanked the State Governor, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde for his wondrous support and great trust in The GSMists while assuring him that they would not disappoint the Governor and the PDP.
“We are going to take the Omituntun 2.0 message to all the nooks and crannies and let the people know that PDP remain the best party in Oyo State.”
