Alaafin’s Death: A Senatorial Hopeful, Wale Ajani Has Condole with Makinde, Family and entire Oyo State, call for an Art Exhibition in his honour.
The former President, National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN and Oyo Central Senatorial Aspirant, Comrade Wale Ajani has condoled with Governor Seyi Makinde, the Oyo-State government and people of Oyo Kingdom over the death of Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, while describing his death as painful.

Wale Ajani in a condolence message personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan condoled with the Oyo-State Council of Obas and Chiefs over the demise of its permanent chairman, noting that his death is shocking.
“The death of Alaafin of Oyo and the Parmement Chairman, Oyo-State Council of Obas and Chiefs, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III has brought pains to the entire people of the state most especially Oyo Central.
“I condole with the Oyo State Government and people of Oyo State and other family members on the transition to the eternal glory of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, after a long and glorious reign. As a matter of urgency, the Oyo State Arts & Culture Council, Oyo Town Traditional Council and Oyo state government should package an arts exhibition & documentary on the late Oba Adeyemi 111 using this rare historical period of the passage of an Alaafin to educate the populace, mourners & visitors to the palace on the essence of the rich history of Oyo Empire & Yoruba nation. .
Let the youths know the late fashionable great cultural icon & huge repository of Yoruba history, late Alaafin Adeyemi Iku Baba Yeye, beyond his remarkable romantic life with his harem of young beautiful Oloris. Baba’s traditional & modern Agbada outfits alone are more than enough materials for exhibition. 52 years on the throne of Oyo is historical.”
His Imperial Majesty had devoted his life and worked tirelessly for improvement of life of the yoruba people in particular and humanity as a whole. There is no doubt that his Majesty’s wisdom and devotion were an enduring source of strength and comfort for the people in Oyo Kingdom.
